Sick-child visits

When your child is sick or injured, help is nearby at Novant Health Arbor Pediatrics! Our office regularly keeps same-day and next-day appointments available so sick children can be seen quickly. To schedule one of these visits, either:

• Call our office at 336-277-1650. Our phone lines are open from 7:45 a.m. until 5 p.m. Calls outside these hours will be handled by our triage team, which will advise you to wait for a return call from our office or to seek help more quickly from an emergency room if your child is in a life-threatening situation.
• Schedule online via MyChart. Use New Problem Visit as your Reason for Visit. (If MyChart does not let you make a same-day or next-day appointment and your child needs to be seen quickly, please call our office instead.)

Our providers offer care for all typical childhood illnesses including, colds, coughs, strep throat, ear infections, stomach viruses, skin rashes and the flu. We also treat minor injuries including cuts and scrapes. If you think your child needs stitches or you're concerned after a big fall, come see us! We're here to help your child and set your mind at ease!

Weekend Sick Clinic

Doesn't it always seem that you hear the first cough on a Friday night? Or that a sniffly nose greets you on a Sunday morning? We know that your child's illnesses do not care about the calendar. That's why we have a Weekend Sick Clinic! If your child has a minor illness or injury that can't wait until Monday, or if you need a follow-up visit after a sick-patient appointment earlier in the week, you can see a provider at our Weekend Sick Clinic between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday or Sunday. This service is only for established patients with acute illnesses, or patients who have received care for an acute illness and need to be seen again to follow up with a provider.
