Ashley Boles, FNP
Family nurse practitioner Ashley Boles started her medical career in a very fast-paced setting. "I entered the medical field as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center," Ashley shared. "I loved my work there, but I wanted a way to do more for my patients and develop relationships with families on a different level. That's why I returned to school to become a nurse practitioner."
A clinical rotation during school at Novant Health Arbor Pediatrics piqued Ashley's interest in the pediatric population. "I loved working with children, and that experience is what led me to pursue pediatrics," she said. "I was thrilled to take a permanent position in this clinic once I became a family nurse practitioner."
Ashley enjoys seeing patients of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest. "I really enjoy seeing newborns in the hospital through their first year of life," Ashley said. "This is such a special time of bonding, growth and development for a family with a new baby and I feel very fortunate to be a part of it. But I also enjoy high school and college age patients as they transition into adulthood."
Family keeps Ashley busy when she's not working. "My husband, Adam, and I met while I was in college at UNC," she shared. "We now have a son, and we enjoy traveling, hiking, being outdoors and just spending time together."
